Git yer listenin' ears on (a date for your I-Pod)

Greetings all from a decidedly damp camp, eight days of Songkran fun culminated in a very respectable fourth (from eighteen) place for the hotel boat racing team and it's contingent of mahouts (lead by Seng) in the annual Chiang Saen competition, followed by the first proper storm of the year - one that left the floor of the elephant camp white with hail, stones collected & put in the freezer to show to the camp kids who slept through it all.

So with fresh, wet-season scents in the air, and with our date with an Icelandic film crew postponed due to something dramatic happening in the frozen North under the ice, we imagine you in your ash-cloud nuclear winter and get on with our wet season projects - who knows, I may even get around to a less lazy blog?  Offer an opinion or two.

Assuming that the ash cloud is interfering with your TV signals and wireless sets we decided to go underground and broadcast over the web - some time ago I had a chat with Wildlife Investigator Laurel Neme, yelling into my ageing laptop Skype style, and she has put that together in the form of a radio interview that will be broadcast at 1pm Eastern Standard Time today (April 19th).

It will be streamed live from the radio station's website or there will something known as a podcast from Laurel's own site - linked above.

I actually can't remember what I said so apologies if I was rude about any of you!
